“The Scope” is the science blog of the Yale Scientific Magazine, the nation’s oldest college science publication. It publishes the work of Yale writers on all things in science, from environmentalism on campus to the latest research in particle physics.
Often, science writing is technical and hard to understand. But at “The Scope,” we think all science is explainable. Any topic can be interesting if expressed in the proper language.
So our mission is one of translation: to turn numbers into stories, graphs into photos, and symbols into prose. We try to look at things from up close and far away, to provide a sense of the incredible scope of today’s science.
